Dear Friends, Dear Clients, Dear Partners,
The year 2015 is ending for ALHAMBRA International and I thank you for your loyalty.
After starting our development in Benelux in 2013 and in Germany in 2014, we decided to consolidate our international presence in 2015. Our location in Flanders has allowed us to carry out several assignments on the Benelux market with the recruitment of Middle Managers and more specifically Country Managers for fast-growing IT & software companies. We have also continued our development in Germany with several recruitments in this country and we carried out recruitments in other European countries (including Spain) to contribute to our Asian clients’ growth in Europe. France, thanks to the restoration of growth, was also a favourable year, with several recruitments in Middle and Top Management positions for Manufacturing, High Tech & Digital companies and Retailers.
In High Tech and Digital sectors, Alhambra International diversifies its presence within industrial IT and cybersecurity. Industrial computing will provide significant growth opportunities in 2016 due to the digital transformation of companies in the B to B sector (after the B to C digital transformation in recent years). Cybersecurity is a major issue in the next few years, with the growth of cloud computing and software applications available nowadays on several « devices » (smartphones, PCs, tablets). This evolution requires more comprehensive security apps and procedures to protect data.
The European development is a real fact for Alhambra International and we have decided to better support our candidates and clients into international career mobility issues. For this, we have carried out an overview of the main European trends in terms of taxation and social charges in 10 countries: France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, England, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Portugal. Our model calculates very quickly from a gross income, net wages in Europe. It is clear that fiscal and social convergence and a stronger social Europe should promote better talent mobility. Our model is an additional service to our clients and our candidates and is a competitive advantage for us as part of our European footprint.
Our analysis on “career-developing positions” published in 2015, was a new opportunity to demonstrate that it is still sometimes difficult to make recruitments because some business sectors are stretched and in a “full employment” logic. This trend is even a paradox in a high unemployment environment in Europe (around 10%)… To face up to this reality, the interest to work with a specialized recruiting firm allows faster recruitments. Indeed, the knowledge of a specific industry, the latest sourcing techniques and a direct approach model for prospective candidates are very efficient solutions, especially if the employer brand’s reputation is low or medium.
The year 2015 also brought us additional satisfaction, again with the presence of Alhambra International in the ranking of the most recognized firms in the magazine « Decideurs », particularly in the following categories Food Industry, High Tech & Digital and Top Management.
This distinction delight us as we are about to celebrate Alhambra International’s 10 years-life and this is thanks to our clients, candidates and partners !
The year 2016 will be marked by strengthening our European presence with new consultants from Germany, Spain and Benelux countries and a possible extension of Alhambra International geographical presence on other continents, probably in Asia to support our European clients on this new geographical fast-growing area. Our objective is also to contribute to our Asian clients’ development in Europe. Asia Pacific will probably be the continent of the 21st century; the Transpacific agreement emphasized the interest of the United States for the economic potential of this area, sometimes to the detriment of Europe.
Last issue that we would like to highlight is the Paris agreement at the COP 21, the first universal text adopted by consensus to contain « the rise in average global temperature well below 2°C ». This agreement was signed by the delegates of 195 countries and it will come into effect in 2020. Better protection of the planet is also a response for future generations. This agreement encourages us to continue the sustainable development approach that we have adopted and the commitments that we have taken with some of our clients to reduce our carbon footprint. All these small daily actions of individuals and companies have raised the states to make commitments to contain global warming for a better preservation of our planet…
I wish you, on behalf of all the team of Alhambra International, a happy new year 2016 full of health, happiness, prosperity and growth!
